Kwesta left a career as a professional soccer player to be a rapper

Growing up in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, few know that Kwesta had a bright future mapped out as a professional soccer player, captaining Jomo Cosmos. Regardless of his dedication to the sport, his passion secretly lay in his notebook, writing pages of raps and poetry.

In 2005, Kwesta decided to leave soccer and embark on his 10-year journey of being a rapper which has since garnered him great success. 

Kwesta has mentioned that his decision to not be a soccer player was influenced by his determination to re-write his own story from a soccer player to one of South Africa’s most celebrated rappers.

“By constantly challenging yourself you can re-write your own story,  My success is not as a result of luck, it was hard work and brave decisions. If you’re not challenging yourself, you’re not opening yourself up for new things to happen,”

King Khai is a female version of Kwesta

This brings us to Kwesta and his daughter Khai. So like, how can one even begin to deny that this is Kwesta’s daughter? Even if Kwesta wanted to deny her, which he didn’t, he wouldn’t win because this is what we call a real daddy’s girl. She is his clone.

Little Khai Asemahle Bulelwa Vilakazi is the female version of her daddy. If she had to grow up to be a rapper then we’ll have the proof that we need that Kwesta has cloned himself for real.
